Donald Trump to present Space Medal of Honor to Artemis II crew at Johnson Space Center in Houston

HOUSTON – The four astronauts who made NASA’s Artemis II mission historic are set to receive the Congressional Space Medal of Honor during a ceremony in Houston next week.

President Donald Trump is expected to present the medals to NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, on August 28 at Johnson Space Center.

The crew completed a 10-day journey around the Moon on April 10 aboard NASA’s Orion spacecraft. The mission marked the first time astronauts traveled beyond the Moon in more than five decades and set a new record for the farthest distance humans have traveled from Earth.
