Houston is hot, but Typhoon Texas is getting ready to bring the chill.
The water park is hosting Cool Down HTX, an event designed to help Houstonians beat the heat with frozen fun, refreshing drinks and an icy surprise in the wave pool.

The highlight of the event will be an Ice Dump Challenge, where guests can step into an icy splash zone and cool off as tons of ice are dumped into the Wave Pool.
The Ice Dump Challenge is scheduled for 2 to 2:30 p.m.
Guests can also expect frozen treats, cold drinks and other icy surprises throughout the day.
The event is included with regular park admission or a Typhoon Texas season pass.
Typhoon Texas is encouraging guests to grab their friends and family, head to the wave pool and cool off from Houston’s summer heat.
