HOUSTON – Police from the Houston Independent School District and the Houston Fire Department found no evidence of a threat after students were evacuated from Chavez High School on Friday.
Aerials from Sky 2 showed a police presence at the school and students being evacuated to the football field.

HISD released the following statement:
"Chavez High School students and staff were evacuated as a precautionary measure Friday after administrators discovered an anonymous threat made against the school. All students are safe, and parents have been notified. HISD police and the Houston Fire Department are continuing to search the building, but have found no evidence of any threat. We take these threats very seriously, as the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority."
