Packages scattered after train hits FedEx truck

MISSOURI CITY, tEXAS – A crash involving a train and a Fedex truck left packages scattered all over the roadway in Missouri City.

A Fedex truck was hauling two trailers across railroad tracks on South Main at 12:15 a.m. Saturday.

After the truck pulled across the tracks, the driver stopped at a stop sign, not realizing the two trailers were still on the tracks, investigators said.

According to investigators, a train plowed through the back end of the second trailer and ripped it open. Packages were scattered everywhere.

A woman in a car that was behind the FedEx truck was hit by debris and taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, authorities said.

No one else was hurt.
