HOUSTON – Registered voters within city limits decided the fate of Houston’s next city controller on Dec. 9.
Chris Hollins, former Harris County elections chief, and his opponent, Orlando Sanchez, were in the runoff for City Controller after both candidates were unable to get the percent of the vote during Texas General Elections on Nov. 7.
Earlier this year, Hollins dropped out of the mayoral race shortly after U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee announced her bid.
