Pregnant woman attacked during home invasion

SOUTHWEST HOUSTON – A pregnant woman was attacked during a home invasion in southwest Houston.

According to police, two men broke into a home in the 4300 block of Jorns.  The woman, who is eight months pregnant, was home alone.  The men grabbed the woman, choked her and left her unconscious on the floor.  

The woman's husband later arrived home and found her on the floor. He called for help.  When paramedics arrived, they realized the woman had been attacked.

"She's fine. She's fine. She's doing better," said the victim's husband.

Police are investigating whether a suspicious white Chevy Malibu with two people inside that was spotted in the neighborhood early Friday afternoon may somehow be connected to the attack.

"It appears right now we can't find anything that was taken. Nothing was taken according to what they are telling us," said Officer M. Leatherwood.
