GALVESTON, Texas – A 7-foot boa constrictor rescued from a neglect situation is finding a new home at Moody Gardens, according to Galveston police.

The 10-pound female Colombian red tail boa will become an animal ambassador in the nature park’s educational program.
The Galveston Police Department Animal Services Unit told KPRC that the boa will need medical care for a few more weeks, but is expected to fully recover.
