Robber wears Obama mask during Jersey Village holdup

JERSEY VILLAGE, Texas – Two robbers held up a cellphone store earlier this month in Jersey Village, and one of them was wearing a mask that depicted former President Barack Obama, officials said.

The robbery was reported about 7:40 p.m. May 16 at the store in the 17400 block of the Northwest Freeway.

According to Crime Stoppers, the pair walked into the store and robbed the store and customers at gunpoint.

Officials said the robber in the Obama mask was also wearing a jacket that resembled a security guard’s winter coat.

The pair were last seen driving a black Honda Pilot or a black Nissan Altima, officials said.
