HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – An area middle school is being recognized for its academic success.
Bailey Middle School in Spring has been named one of eight "Schools to Watch" in the state. The school celebrated its accolade at a presentation Wednesday morning.

The award comes from a recognition program developed by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform.
Bailey earned recognition for its academic excellence, responsiveness to needs and interests of young adolescents and its ability to assist students at high levels.
Leadership and teachers working to improve curriculum and instruction were also considered.
