HOUSTON – It’s football time in Houston and the Texans Shop at NRG Stadium is the place to grab the perfect Texans gear.
The store is stocked with clothes for fans of all sizes, accessories and tailgate necessities, even items for the craziest supporters.

One popular item is a cookbook customers can’t get anywhere else. It features players’ and coaches’ favorite dishes. For instance, Linebacker Brian Peters, with help from his mother, shows how to create hot cheesy beef dip.
The cookbook is $25 and the proceeds go to the Houston Texans Foundation.
“I have a Watt (jersey), but everybody has a Watt, I think. Just about everybody has a Watt,” said Roland Hernandez.
Jerseys are a must for game days and the three top sellers are superstar J.J. Watt, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Jerseys range from $100 to $300. The latter is for a game-day replica.
As you walk through the store, it has everything a family needs, including items for the youngest fans.
“I wanted to get my son his first Texans gear for the season,” said longtime fan Miguel Gil.
Gil’s 1-year-old was born a Texans loyalist.
“I’m thinking about getting him a jersey or I like that eat, sleep, Texans one with the bib,” said Gil.
In another section, women have a lot of new apparel, including a Dooney and Bourke purse. The prices go up to $248.
With a price of $25, the hottest selling item was the brand new “Houston Strong” T-shirt. The store received them last weekend and the white ones sold out in one day.
The shirts have meaning to all Houstonians.
“It’s Houston. We have to keep supporting each other, especially with everything that’s been going on,” said Sandra Larios.
