HOUSTON – It’s the 29th anniversary of Selena Quintanilla’s last concert at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at the Astrodome.
The singer’s iconic performance took place on Feb. 26, 1995. This was her last live performance before she died on March 31, 1995.
More than 61,000 Selena fans attended the memorable concert.
Quintanilla performed in her famous purple jumpsuit. Fans can now see the outfit at the Selena Museum in Corpus Christi.
She sang several of her hits like “Amor Prohibido,” “Baila,” “Como La Flor,” and she also did a cover of “I Will Survive.”
Quintanilla was seen smiling and dancing across the stage.
Fans said she had it all. She had the talent and charisma.
Some people commented on social media that this was the best live concert in human history.
Quintanilla also graced the stage at the Houston Rodeo in 1993 and 1994.
