CYPRESS, Texas – Texans chairman and CEO Cal McNair was recognized by his high school.
McNair was inducted into the 2022 Cy-Fair High School Athletic Hall of Honor along with former Rice running back and Olympian Sam McGuffie.

McNair, the son of Bob McNair, the late founder of the Texans, played football in high school and at the University of Texas.
McNair has been promoted several times after being named vice chairman of the team in 2008, chief operating officer in 2012, chairman in 2018 and then CEO in 2019 after his father’s passing. Janice McNair, his mother and a co-founder of the franchise is the principal owner, and Cal McNair is the operating leader of the franchise.

McNair and his wife, Hannah McNair, the vice president of the Texans’ charitable foundation, are active in philanthropy for several causes, including the YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Houston Food Bank and the United Way.
He is the chair of of the NFL audit committee and serve on the NFL investment committee. He previously worked at Cogen Technologies for 11 years. He is the director of Palmetto Trust Company.
