HOUSTON – The Texans are re-signing veteran linebacker Cory Littleton to the 53-man roster, according to league sources.
Littleton was released last week and has now rejoined the roster.

Littleton previously signed a one-year, $2.7 million contract with a base value of $2.2 million after he was released in a procedural move for one day in a bit of roster gymnastics, according to a league source.
The deal includes $500,000 in incentives and a $1.3 million salary and has a base value of $2.2 million for the former Las Vegas Rams Pro Bowl selection and second-team All-Pro, according to a league source.
The Texans released cornerback D’Angelo Ross from the 53-man roster on Monday, creating a spot for Littleton.
Littleton, 29, is a former Los Angeles Rams Pro Bowl selection and second-team All-Pro who has also played for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Littleton played last season for the Carolina Panthers. He started seven of 15 games last season and recorded 47 tackles, a half-sack and two passes defensed.
A former undrafted free agent from Washington, Littleton has made 543 career tackles, 27 for losses, 9 1/2 sacks, six interceptions, three forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. He has played in six games this season. He played 17 snaps on defense this season and 104 snaps on special teams, 64 percent of the special teams snaps.
Littleton was voted to the 2019 Pro Bowl for the Rams. He had a career-high 134 tackles with four sacks, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and returned an interception for a touchdown.
After that breakthrough season, Littleton signed a three-year, $36 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Texans are re-signing Ross to the practice squad after releasing him from the 53-man roster, per a league source. They later announced the move and released defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour from the practice squad.
Ross has played in two games this season, 35 snaps overall on special teams with no playing time on defense.
Ross is a former New England Patriots undrafted free agent from New Mexico who was released by the Texans after the preseason. He was on their practice squad last year and was
He played in three games with one start with the Patriots in 2021.
Ross has run the 40-yard dash in 4.32 seconds.
Ross has also played for the Miami Dolphins.
