Texans safety Jimmie Ward ruled out with concussion

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Texans safety and team captain Jimmie Ward suffered a head injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

He was ruled out with a concussion

Ward was replaced by former Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and New York Jets safety Adrian Amos.

Ward has 47 tackles this season for the Texans with one forced fumble and no interceptions since joining them in free agency.

He is a former 49ers first-round draft pick who played for Texans coach DeMeco Ryans in San Francisco.
