Source: Michigan hires Texans safeties coach Stephen Adegoke as defensive backs coach

HOUSTON – The University of Michigan is hiring Texans safeties coach Stephen Adegoke as their new secondary coach, according to league sources.

Adegoke spent one season with the Texans under coach DeMeco Ryans after a previous stint as the San Francisco 49ers defensive quality control coach.

Adegoke originally replaced, Joe Danna, who was hired by the Buffalo Bills as safeties coach.

Adegoke, previously with Michigan, Florida and Mississippi State where he played defensive back, coached safeties Jalen Pitre, Jimmie Ward this season as the Texans won the AFC South division title and one playoff game.
