Are you ready for some more Wembanyama-mania, Rockets fans?
Arguably the most-hyped NBA rookie since LeBron James will play his second career game in Houston on Tuesday night when Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs pay a visit to Toyota Center.

Fans in attendance will have a chance to see the French sensation display his skills in person, but also likely will wonder what might have been.
Last May, Houston, San Antonio and Detroit all had the same and best odds of landing the No. 1 overall pick for the NBA Draft when the draft lottery was held, so fans of the Rockets were understandably dreaming what Wembanyama would look like in red and white since he was going to be the obvious No. 1 pick.
But the Spurs were the team with the lottery luck and ended up with the No. 1 pick, and now Wembanyama is flashing all his talent in San Antonio black, white and silver.
A 7-foot-1 dynamo with an 8-foot wingspan who can handle the ball and shoot like a guard, Wembanyama is averaging 20.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game in his rookie season.
Wembanyama has already played one game this season at Toyota Center, and that was on Dec. 11. He had 15 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks in the game, but the Rockets still prevailed, 93-82.
There will be one more meeting between the teams this year after Tuesday, but that will come in San Antonio on March 12.
That means Wembanyama-mania won’t be hitting Houston again until the 2024-25 season, so there might be more buzz than usual inside Toyota Center on Tuesday night.
