HOUSTON – The Texans are signing veteran Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi to a one-year contract after he visited them last week, according to a league source.

Fatukasi, 30, also visited the Buffalo Bills today, per a source.

Fatukasi played for Texans defensive coordinator Matt Burke when he was drafted by the New York Jets out of Connecticut in the sixth round.

He signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Jaguars and was due to make $7 million in 2024 before he was released.

Fatukasi had 24 tackles, three for losses and no pass deflections last season.

The 6-foot-4, 318-pound New York native has recorded 163 career tackles, 4 1/2 sacks and 19 quarterback hits.
