Source: Texans signing cornerback Jeff Okudah to one-year, $6 million max value deal

Former Falcons, Lions corner joins Texans

HOUSTON – The Texans are signing former Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah to a one-year, $4.75 million contract that has a maximum value of $6 million, per a league source.

The deal has $2.5 million guaranteed with a $1.5 million signing bonus and a $2.75 million base salary with $1 million of the base salary fully guaranteed, $14,706 per game active roster bonus and a $1.25 million playtime incentive clause.

Okudah is a former Lions first-round draft pick and Ohio State All-American selection drafted third overall in 2020.

He was traded to the Falcons last year for a 2023 fifth-round draft pick. He played in 13 games for the Falcons last season and had 44 tackles and three pass deflections.

Okudah has recorded 168 career tackles, two interceptions with one returned for a touchdown in 38 career games with 31 starts.
