HOUSTON – The Texans are trading veteran defensive tackle Maliek Collins to the San Francisco 49ers for a seventh-round draft pick, per a league source.

The Texans do have interest in San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Arik Armstead, who played for Texans coach DeMeco Ryans previously, per league sources, along with the Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals.

Collins, 29 is a former Dallas Cowboys third-round draft pick from Nebraska.

He signed a two-year, $23 million contract last year.

he had 41 tackles, eight for losses, five sacks and one pass defensed last season.

Colins has 206 career tackles, 25 1/2 sacks, 80 tackles for losses and 76 quarterback hits.
