Texans waived-injured Marcus Haynes with quadriceps injury, injury settlement in the works

HOUSTON – The Texans waived-injured former Denver Broncos defensive end Marcus Haynes with a quadriceps injury with an injury settlement in the works, per a league source.

They previously signed him to a reserve-future deal, adding him to their offseason roster.

Haynes went undrafted out of Old Dominion and signed with the Broncos, joining their practice squad after he didn’t make the 53-man roster.

In three preseason games, he had five tackles and one pass deflection.

Haynes (6-foot-4, 240 pounds) had 5 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble as a junior and four sacks, 47 tackles and one forced fumble as a senior.
