The St. Louis Cardinals are expected to call up right-handed pitcher Adam Kloffenstein, multiple sources tell KPRC 2. Kloffenstein is a 2018 3rd round draft pick out of Magnolia High School to the Toronto Blue Jays.

The righty has had success in Triple-A this season, pitching to a 3.97 ERA for the Memphis Redbirds this season. Kloffenstein came over the Cardinals in a trade deadline deal in 2023, that sent former Cypress Creek star Jordan Hicks to the Blue Jays. Hicks is now a starter with the San Francisco Giants.

Kloffenstein is expected to make his Major League debut Thursday vs. the San Francisco Giants, at Rickwood Field in Alabama.

The Cardinals and Giants are playing in a Negro League tribute game at the legendary stadium in Birmingham, the former home of the Birmingham Black Barons.
