The Houston Rockets are trading their only pick remaining in the 2024 draft for third-year guard A.J. Griffin, a league source confirmed to KPRC 2 Sports. The Atlanta Hawks will receive the 44th overall pick.
Griffin was the 16th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and had a solid amount of playing time his rookie season, averaging 19.5 minutes per game in 72 games and 12 starts. Griffin missed much of the 2023-24 season with leg injuries, playing in just 20 games.
