PITTSBURGH – It was quite the homecoming for Texans safety Brandon Hill against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In his first game back at Acrisure Stadium after playing collegiately at Pitt, Hill intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble in punt coverage. Hill, in his second season with the Texans after being drafted in the seventh round last season, recorded four tackles and had one pass defensed.

Hill’s fumble recovery set up running back Dare Ogunbowale’s touchdown run.
In the final seconds, Hill intercepted former Texans quarterback Kyle Allen on an overthrown pass intended for wide receiver Jacob Copeland to seal the game.
“Oh man, it felt amazing,” said Hill, a former All-Atlantic Coast Conference second-team selection who recorded 172 tackles, three interceptions, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two defensive touchdowns in his four years at Pitt. “Like you said, being back home, being back where I spent four years at the University of Pittsburgh. So being back here with this great organization with great teammates, it just felt fun, it felt familiar.”
