Source: Texans work out tight end Trevon Wesco

Former Jets fourth-round pick works out for AFC South champs

HOUSTON – The Texans worked out former New York Jets tight end Trevon Wesco, according to a league source.

Wesco is a former fourth-round draft pick from West Virginia.

Wesco, 28, is a 6-foot-3, 267-pound West Virginia native who began his career at Lackawanna Community College.

Wesco has nine career receptions for 134 yards, playing for the Jets, Chicago Bears and Tennessee Titans.

He was released by the Jets in 2022. He has played fullback as a rookie for New York.

He had one catch for 21 yards in 15 games last season for the Titans, starting 10 games.

The Texans have had some injuries at tight end and fullback.

Tight end Teagan Quitoriano is sidelined after straining his calf against the Bears in the Hall of Fame game.

Fullback Andrew Beck has dealt with a calf injury off and on throughout training camp.
