Dell entered Sunday with four receptions for 37 yards through two games. He caught one pass for minus-three yards on four targets in a win last week over the Chicago Bears,

Dell caught 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games as a rookie last season before he broke his fibula.

Dell recovered from that injury, then overcame a gunshot wound to his leg as an innocent bystander in a mass shooting in Florida

Dell was on track for 73 catches, 1,096 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie before he got hurt. Even in an injury-abbreviated season, the speedy third-round draft pick broke former Pro Bowl tight end Owen Daniels’ rookie franchise record for touchdown catches.

Four of the Texans’ catches of at least 20 yards or more came on Dell touchdown receptions. That was the third-highest mark in the league for any receiver with touchdowns of at least 20 yards, at the time of his injury.
