Texans rookie running back British Brooks won his appeal hearing and his $4,444 fine has been rescinded, according to a league source.

The NFL initially fined Brooks for an unpenalized big hit in his first game against the Indianapolis Colts for lowering his helmet on contact. It was determined by film review and interviews that there was no foul.
