Sources: Texans work out several specialists to maintain emergency list, including kicker Zane Gonzalez

HOUSTON – The Texans worked out multiple specialists on Tuesday.

The reason behind a workout that included two kickers, two long snappers and two punters was to update the Texans’ emergency ready list of potential fill-ins in case of injury.

The Texans are well-stocked at kicker with standout Ka’imi Fairbairn, who’s hit 11 of 12 field goals, including a game-winning 59-yarder against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, punter Tommy Townsend and long snapper Jon Weeks.

The workout included former Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers kicker Zane Gonzalez and kicker Lucas Havrisik, punters Seth Vernon and Austin McNamara and long snapper Tucker Addington, who played collegiately at Sam Houston State.
