HOUSTON – The Texans traded reserve running back Cam Akers and a conditional 2026 seventh-round draft pick to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2026 conditional sixth-round draft pick, per a league source.

A former Los Angeles Rams second-round draft pick, Akers’ role had decreased with the healthy return of starter Joe Mixon and backup Dameon Pierce against the New England Patriots from injuries.
