Sources: Astros closing in on deal with 1B Christian Walker

The Houston Astros are have agreed to terms with first baseman Christian Walker for a 3-year, $60 million deal, three sources tell KPRC 2 Sports.

Walker hit .250 with 26 home runs and 84 RBI in 2024 for the Arizona Diamondbacks, and won his third consecutive National League Gold Glove at 1B.

Walker is a career .803 OPS hitter with an OPS+ of 121 (league average is 100), and hit to a .793 OPS and 114 OPS+ in 2024.
