HOUSTONWilliam & Mary standout left offensive tackle Charles Grant visited the defending AFC South champion Texans, per a league source.

Grant, a Senior Bowl all-star game selection and former high school wrestler, has visits with the Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders and Atlanta Falcons, per sources. He has private workouts with the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers, per league sources.

He’s a projected top 50 selection.

A two-time FCS All-American and team captain, Grant allowed just two sacks over the past three seasons combined. He started his final 36 collegiate games at left tackle.

At his Pro Day, which was attended by 29 teams, Grant displayed his athleticism at 6-foot-5, 311 pounds with 34 3/4 arms and 10 1/4 hands and ran the 40-yard dash in 5.09 seconds. He bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times and had a 27-inch vertical leap and an 8-11 broad jump. The workout was attended by offensive line coaches from the Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears.

Grant was roughly 240 pounds when he was recruited by William & Mary and started playing football as a high school junior.

Grant made a sound recovery from an in-season knee injury that prevented him from participating in the NFL scouting combine and the Senior Bowl.
