On Sunday, Jones will be cheering on his native Curaçao -- the smallest nation ever to reach a World Cup -- versus powerhouse Germany at Houston Stadium.
Jones, who attended an event with FIFA-licensed collectibles struck in .9999 fine silver on display, is a five-time Major League Baseball all-star selection
Jones played in his first World Series game at 19 years old, hitting two home runs against the New York Yankees. He hit 434 career home runs, joining Willie Mays, Mike Schmidt and Ken Griffey Jr. as the only players to hit 400 or more home runs while securing 10 Gold Gloves. He will be inducted into Cooperstown on July 26, 2026.
“Andruw Jones was a force in Major League Baseball for nearly two decades and is a proud Curaçao native,” U.S. Coins and Jewelry co-owner Kenny Duncan Jr. said. “We’re thrilled to host him at U.S. Coins & Jewelry in advance of the match versus Germany. We can’t wait to see his biggest fans on Saturday.”
