PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M football team is not letting last year’s four-overtime HBCU National Championship game loss dampen the program’s energy.
The Panthers know they didn’t finish the way they wanted to, which has led to this year’s motto.
“They understood what moment that was; they understood what happened,” said Panthers Head Coach Tremaine Jackson. “We understood as a staff, and our mantra is ‘finish the fight’ this year because we know we did not finish in the way we wanted to finish.”
“Finish the fight, that’s our goal, so we’re gonna come in, we’re gonna start a fight, and we’re gonna finish it at the end of the day; that’s our biggest thing,” said senior linebacker Malachi Williams.
The Panthers open the season on August 29th at 8 p.m. visiting Tarleton State.
