HOUSTON – The Houston Cougars signed their highest rated 2021 prospect Thursday.
Oak Ridge running back Alton McCaskill announced he’ll stay home to play for the Cougars.

McCaskill has been weighing offers from many top programs, including Alabama, USC, Oklahoma State and many more.

According to 247sports.com, McCaskill rushed for 1,141 yards and 11 touchdowns in 11 games for the War Eagles. He added three touchdowns receiving in 2020.
The three-year starter is listed as 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds. He plans to pursue broadcasting.
McCaskill also has lofty goals for his career at the University of Houston.
“When I leave my mark on Houston, I will be known as legendary,” said McCaskill. “That’s what I’m going to bring to the University of Houston. I’m going to break every record that I can.”
