STAFFORD, Texas – It is an Astros gameday, but Yordan Alvarez spent his morning on a baseball field in Stafford, Texas.
For over two hours, he gave back to the game he loves.

Alvarez, who is leading the Astros this season, hosted his first camp through Pro Camps, a company based in Ohio.
Alvarez grew up in Cuba dreaming of becoming a big league star but he never had the chance to meet a major league player.
Tuesday morning he made sure 120 kids had that opportunity at the baseball field complex at Stafford High School.
While making the rounds on the field with small groups, Alvarez was all smiles.
“It’s hot, but this is fun!” he said.
