Jeremy Pena’s bat, Chas McCormick’s glove among several items donated to the Baseball Hall of Fame following World Series victory

Several historic moments were made during the 2022 World Series, and the Houston Astros were a part of it.

A number of items used during the postseason were generously donated to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown following the team’s 4-1 victory on Saturday night, according to a news release.

Those items will soon belong in a permanent place in Cooperstown. Several other pieces, such as Phillies’ Alec Bohm’s bat he used in Game 3 to hit the 1000th home run in World Series history.

These are the items donated to the Baseball Hall of Fame:

Yordan Alvarez’s bat used in Game 6

That same bat Alvarez used to score a three-run go-ahead home run during the 6th inning was donated. The home run brought the score from a 0-1 deficit to 3-1.

Dusty Baker’s jersey, signature toothpicks, and wristbands worn in Game 2

Ryan Pressly’s spikes in Game 6

During Game 6, Ryan Pressly did not allow a run in 10 Postseason appearances.

The 2022 World Series and ALCS MVP hit .400 doubles and a home run during the postseason.

Chas McCormick’s glove used in Game 5

This was the same glove McCormick used when he made that incredible catch during the bottom of the 9th inning.

Jose Altuve’s elbow guard

Altuve hit .308 during the World Series.

Framber Valdez’s spikes worn in Game 2

Valdez won two World Series starts, in Game 2 and in Game 6.

Ball and rosin bag used in Game 4

This is the same ball pitched by Christian Javier, Rafael Montero, Bryan Abreu and Ryan Pressly who combined a second-ever no-hitter in baseball history. Catcher Christian Vazquez also signed the ball.
