HOUSTON – This week’s KPRC 2 & UTMB Health Athlete of the Week is Jocelyn Briseno of Alvin High School.
The senior outfielder for the Alvin Yellowjackets, who are currently ranked top-5 in Greater Houston. She’s dominant on both offense and defense, tracking down balls in the outfield and providing clutch hits. She’ll bring her talents to the next level at HCU next season.
“She’s a bright spot,” Alvin head softball coach Kelly Bembry said. “She will smile, even if she messes up. She smiles and moves on. She is positive, and she’s a light on this team.”
