Detectives with the Houston Police Department are piecing together details of a deadly scene that unfolded in a shopping strip on Corporate and Beechnut Monday night.

A woman died after being hit by a vehicle in the Alief area Friday, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.
