One of the co-founders of Ben & Jerry’s has gone from ice cream to marijuana with a social mission.

Vermont Lt. Gov. Molly Gray and Senate President Pro Tempore Becca Balint are the leading candidates in a Democratic U.S. House primary that could make either of them the first female member of the state's congressional delegation.

The bill has grown out of recommendations from a bipartisan civil rights commission created after the killing of George Floyd in Minnesota.
