This Week’s UTMB Health Athlete of the Week honor goes to Brazoswood’s sophomore shortstop Ali Rios.

A 16-year-old Brazoswood High School football player is still lying unconscious in the hospital after a group of fellow students reportedly attacked him at a gathering on Friday, according to the victim’s family.

The Clear Creek Wildcats ran their record to 2-1 after roughing up Brazoswood 42-17 through the air, on the ground and on defense. Clear Creek is supposed to face Dickinson but it appears to be cancelled due to the Gators having COVID issues. Brazoswood faces Pasadena Memorial. The top teams stayed put in each classification but there was some movement in the Class 6A rankings. Cy-Fair, Clear Falls and Cypress Ranch move into the rankings as Grand Oaks, Brazoswood and Kingwood are bounced out of the Top 10.
