Today marks the start of the long-awaited civil trial against the parents of Dimitrios Pagourtzis, the gunman responsible for the tragic 2018 Santa Fe High School shooting that claimed the lives of eight students and two teachers. Families of the victims held a private prayer vigil ahead of the proceedings. The lawsuit accuses the parents of failing to recognize signs of their son's mental illness and allowing him access to firearms.
