"He started running from the officer, a Good Samaritan saw the officer chasing him and attempted to help and tackle the suspect," said Humble Police Lieutenant Eric Squier. Police said the suspect shot the Good Samaritan during the scuffle. Both the suspect and the Good Samaritan were rushed to the hospital but died from their injuries.
