The women's basketball team went an impressive 15-2 overall and 7-1 in Southwest Preparatory Conference play, which was good enough to claim the 2020 SPC South Zone Championship. The Dragons were led by seniors Aalyssa Rogers (13.3 ppg/ 9.1 apg), Ajailah Ogiemwonyi (17.4 ppg/9.9 rpg) and sophomore Jorynn Ross (16.2 ppg/14.1 rpg). The season was historic and VYPE Media's Joshua Koch was joined by coach BJ Feurerhelm to talk in-depth about the season that will not be soon forgotten.

The John Cooper School has become a fixture in the SPC playoffs. Making it four-straight years, the Dragons are coming off a 24-11-mark last season with three starters returning. Ogiemwonyi led the team with 15.9 points and 11.1 rebounds per game last season. One cannot forget about Jorynn Ross, who averaged a double-double for the season in 2020, putting up 10.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game for the Dragons.

PIERCE: Baseball helps me in football with hand-eye coordination. I say this because I am a catcher and I am always catching pitchers which really helps with my abilities to catch balls in football. Football also helps me with baseball because since I'm catching, I have to block balls all the time. Football helps me get used to the feeling of being hit.
