The driver told deputies she had been going around 5 mph during the time of the incident.

Two deputies man each of the two shifts-- One working a morning shift and another with a power shift, which is from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. The morning side will be focusing on primarily resident based complaints on traffic problems in the district. The power shift will also work on resident and business based complainants, focusing on speeders in neighborhoods, racing vehicles and 18-wheeler and dump truck parking.

Around 5:50 a.m. Saturday, HCSO deputies responded to reports of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 1960 and Kuykendahl Road in north Houston. The adult male driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Harris County Sheriffs Office. HCSO Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the car was traveling as a high rate of speed when it struck the traffic light pole. A vehicle, traveling at a high rate of speed, struck a traffic light pole.
