Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner spoke with KPRC 2 Investigates on Friday in the latest chapter of the controversy tied to a book focused specifically on Turner’s time as mayor. The book was produced for the recent State of the City Luncheon and there were attempts for Houston First -- the city’s tourism and convention arm -- to pay for it.

Approximately 600 copies of the 90-page book focused on Mayor Turner’s time in office were printed for the State of the City Luncheon.

After much debate, the Texas GOP moved its convention online Thursday. The Texas GOP is currently discussing whether or not to resume plans for an in-person convention in Houston.
