Enrique Tarrio, the former chairman of the far-right Proud Boys, was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison Tuesday afternoon following his conviction on a seditious conspiracy charge in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Charges have been filed against a Houston man for his alleged participation in the Jan. 6 insurrection and riots at the United States Capitol.

For the past year, words like sedition, treason, and insurrection have been used to describe what happened on Jan. 6, 2021.Yet, none of the hundreds of people charged in connection with that day have been charged with those specific crimes.
