The 2023 Texas High School Football season is underway and with that come the Preseason Private School football offensive and defensive All-VYPE Teams.

It was a banner year for Houston-area private school teams in 2022 as FBCA won the TAPPS-II Title, while Kinkaid and John Cooper School swept their respective SPC titles. Logos Prep won the TAPPS Six-Man DI to cap it off.

We have a new No. 1 team ... again!

We are officially in Week 4 of the Texas high school football season and in the private school world and there has been a bit of a shift up top of the rankings.

HOUSTON – Well, you know what time it is!

The first Friday night of the Texas High School football season is in the books.

Kinkaid, like the rest of the Southwest Preparatory Conference teams, just played a seven-game schedule in 2020 and did not play for a traditional SPC Championship.

The defending Southwest Preparatory Conference champs are the Kinkaid Falcons. While they are talented on the field, they might even be more talented in the classroom. Kinkaid has a pair of crafty pitchers in lefties Chase Pelter (TCU) and David Shaw (Rice). The Falcons have won three SPC titles overall and two in the last five years. The Medley Relay team of Victoria Davila, Laney Shea, Guerrero and Noelle Harris finished 6th, the 200 Free Relay team of Kyleigh Jeter, Shea, Ellie Wang and Lanigan finished 6th, and the 400 Free Relay team of Guerrero, Kovin, Jeter and Lanigan finished 4th. In the relays, the Medley Relay team of Alexander Harris, Nicholas Harris, Kevin Werner and Zac Winton finished 5th, the 200 Free Relay team of Shea, Winton, N. HOUSTON - The Ninth Annual Touchdown Club of Houston Hildebrand Foundation Private School Awards are set to take place at the Omni Hotel in the Galleria on Wednesday night. For family and friends that cannot attend this year's event due to restrictions, VYPE has partnered with the Touchdown Club of Houston to broadcast the evening LIVE on VYPE.com and the TD Club of Houston Facebook page.
