The Texas A&M Police account on X [@TAMUPolice] has something of a cult following on the site, as the department is known for reporting arrests that happen among the more-than-102,000 seats of the stadium as the Aggies play on Saturdays. With the game against Texas being A&M’s biggest game in years, the calamity from fans did not disappoint.

Nearly two months after a report from The Texas Tribune indicated that talks of bringing back the Aggie Bonfire tradition were gaining traction, it now seems that the university has decided to keep the official tradition retired for the upcoming season.

Fans of the Lone Star Showdown will be in for a treat this weekend, as heated rivals Texas A&M and Texas have been paired in the same regional of the NCAA College Baseball Championship.

The event hasn’t happened over the last 25 years, but the school is considering an attempt to bring the tradition back, according to the Texas Tribune.
