KPRC 2 Investigates has learned, Father Manuel La Rosa-Lopez pleaded guilty to two counts of indecency with a child on early Tuesday morning. Investigators said La Rosa-Lopez abused a girl and a boy while he was a priest at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe from the late โ90s to early 2000s. A third person came forward last year and said he was also abused by La Rosa-Lopez when he served as an altar boy in the mid-'90s. SNAP is helping one survivor, identifying as John Doe, who said he was abused by La Rosa-Lopez when he was 15-years-old.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous for now, said through his attorney that he is the third person to accuse Father Manuel La Rosa-Lopez of abuse. La Rosa-Lopez was later ordained, according to the firm. The man decided to come forward after hearing other reports of assault accusations from people against La Rosa-Lopez and has suffered many years from the abuse, the firm said. It later released an updated statement that said:โThe Archdiocese continues to cooperate fully with the civil authorities in their ongoing investigation.โ
