Texas City has issued a shelter in place order on Sunday for some residents due to a chemical release at Marathon GBR.

Authorities are sharing information on the noise in Texas City Thursday morning.

A shelter-in-place has been issued at the Marathon Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas City Tuesday afternoon, according to the city of Texas City.

Scott Higgins, 55, of Deer Park, Texas was identified as the victim. On Tuesday, another worker, who said he suffered second- and-third degree burns in the fire filed a lawsuit against the Marathon Petroleum refinery.
