Penn State coach James Franklin thinks there's a chance defensive star Abdul Carter will be back for College Football Playoff semifinals against Notre Dame.

It was a banner year for Houston-area private school teams in 2022 as FBCA won the TAPPS-II Title, while Kinkaid and John Cooper School swept their respective SPC titles. Logos Prep won the TAPPS Six-Man DI to cap it off.

Despite starting the season with a 3-4 record, Fort Bend Christian would subsequently win the next six games, including a 41-14 rebuttal to SBS in the Semifinals, en route to the school’s first TAPPS State Championship in their 42-30 victory against All Saints.

The FBCA track and field teams were on fire at the recent Woodlands Christian Meet.

Even though FBCA won the TAPPS 5A-D2 State Championship this past fall, it doesn’t appear the champs will be slowing down anytime soon.
